Creating Opportunities
2009 Satellite Mine Sites RFP
On November 24, 2008, the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) issued two requests for proposals (RFPs) for its CLEANS project near Uranium City. The RFPs were for work to be completed on the satellite mine sites in the 2009 season.
SRC also conducted RFP information sessions in Uranium City and Stony Rapids on December 10, 2008. Additional sessions were planned for the communities of Fond du Lac and Wollaston Lake but had to be cancelled due to weather. SRC provided the RFP information by telephone to interested individuals in those communities as it was too late in the year to reschedule information sessions.
Based on an evaluation of the proposals received, SRC has awarded the contracts for the scope of work to be completed on the satellite mine sites in the 2009 work season.
Work is expected to begin on these sites in mid-May. SRC intends to hold a public meeting in Uranium City prior to this work commencing.
SRC thanks all bidders for responding to the request for quotations. We recognize the time, resources and energy that it takes to provide a response for our consideration. We do not take lightly the work and effort made to provide this and appreciate all responses. We look forward to possible opportunities to work together in the future.
